XM/SIRIUS lineup changes: some quick thoughts
xm/sirius lineup changes were implemented today, and though it may be a bit too early to be critical of these additions/subtractions, i am not crazy about the changes taking place. ive had xm in the past but currently am a sirius subscriber.
perhaps i had the wrong impression about the merger. i thought once the merger went through, i would be able to enjoy xm stations like xmu, fred, lucy, ethel along with their sirius equivalents. what i didnt expect was the two companies combining these stations. sirius’s left of center has now become sirius xmu. so where two indie/college music stations once existed, now there stands only one. how can this be good for the listener?
additional combinations of similiar stations have taken place between the xm and sirius lineups, leaving the company with fewer overall stations. this simply cannot be what we listeners who supported this merger were hoping for. lets hope these changes are just growing pains as the two companies attempt to figure out how to live under the some roof.
oh, and where are the dual recievers?
